I tend to use the Faber and Faber method Books when teaching students. I also use Alfred. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

The Guitar Handbook , by Ralph Denyer
Good stuff , for beginner level players to quickly get a good basic understanding of Music Theory applied to guitar .
