George Marsack 3 posts	Posted July 04, 2008 at 12:07 AM I just want to say how disappointed I am, that after 40 years as a pro musician, the fees paid to local bands at clubs and bars has not changed in that amount of time. The band I was in back in ‘68 was knock’n down $350.00-$500.00 a night/three nights a week. Club owners now days should realize that with gas going for $4.00+ per gallon, and many of the musicians traveling a fair distance that $350.00 or so, a night (after working an 8 hour shift during the day) won’t cut it anymore. Its time to update your budgetary considerations, and start paying good bands what they are worth.
