Bio:

Award winning flautist Rebecca Lloyd studied with the internationally acclaimed flute professor Vernon Hill (highly regarded by James Galway) at the Australian National University before moving to Europe and performing as a soloist and orchestrally in Italy, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland. She has recorded three commercial solo albums and her televised performances have been broadcast around the world. As well as performing, she has created a stir by composing music for film and documentaries such as the World History Series for the largest TV station in China. Her compositions can be heard regularly on ABC Classic FM and on films she has scored which have been released internationally, which is quite an achievement for a young composer, particularly one who is still alive! Since moving to Los Angeles, instead of pursuing the typical orchestral path, Rebecca has focused on chamber music performance and writing for music for film. She is the founding member of PREMIERE in which she also writes original music for as well as adaptations from her film scores.
